Award Details / Synopsis / Regulations
The Player of the Year award was introduced to truly test the competition of the H Smith Richardson Golf Club. Like the Met and CSGA Player of year awards, players will earn points throughout the year for placing in events. Players can earn these points in any event from weekend events to the club championship. At the End of the season, the winner for each category will be the player with the most points.
There will be two award categories, one for GROSS and one for NET.
Players earn points by placing in any event, whether gross or net.
The player will be automatically added into the respective award category based upon the event finish.
Players can enter into both the Gross and Net Award running if they place in either over the course of the season.
Player must be current 2006 season member (after May 1) of the men's club to earn points. Players who do not meet this criteria will have their points placed on hold (without earning any new points) until membership is obtained.
Players cannot win more than 1 time during an event. (e.g. No "Double Dipping")
Points standings will be posted at the club periodically, however we will be using the website mainly to communicate with our members about this award, so please check back online. Please view the point system and learn how you can become the next H Smith Richardson Golf Club Player of the Year!!
