Information for New Members....

Welcome to the H Smith Richardson Golf Club! You can now enjoy all the benefits that over 600 members already do.  Here's how to get started:

1. Please be sure you have been approved as a new member by referring to the new member addition schedule below. As a new addition to our club, you must have been approved as new member at our monthly board meetings before you can proceed with your membership.
2. Please refer to the handicap computer at the club to begin posting scores.  You will need your local number or you can lookup your name to find your local number and GHIN.

3. Once you have found your local number, you can then use this at the club at the handicap computer to post scores. You can begin posting scores right away!

Handicap Information Program

Our online handicap information source is great benefit for any member who needs to find his local number, or even get a recent handicap. Accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you can now get all the information you need right from your home computer!

This service is not updated as frequently as the course computer or GHIN.com, and should not used to determine current handicaps.

Tournament Sign Up

Many of our tournament signup's use our new computerized sign up procedure.  Unless there is a entry fee into the event, such as the fall scramble or Member- Member, players can sign up for an event via the handicap computer.  Notices as to when tournaments will utilize this procedure will be posted with the tournament information.  Complete instructions on signing up for events is listed across from the computer at the new HSR Info Board

Located at the golf club, the HSR Information bulletin board has all the information you need about posting scores, signing up for tournaments, new member information and much more! The board is located across from the handicap computer near the pro shop.  If while using the computer, you have any questions, please refer to the board for complete instructions on the various functions of our handicap computer!

Any questions, problems or concerns can also be addressed with our chairman, Mike Broderick or a men's club representative.

Complete instructions on how to post scores at the handicap computer are located on the bulletin board across from the handicap computer.

Handicap Revision Schedule

New Members and GHIN Deletions

For new members who have just signed up for their membership to the men's club, please be patient, the approval process can take up to four weeks. The men's club board approves all new members at their monthly meetings. So, if you signed up for your membership the first Thursday of a month, you may not be able to activate your handicap in the computer until the first Wednesday of the following month. If you have any questions regarding the handicap signup process, please contact our handicap and membership chairman, Mike Broderick.

For members who have not renewed their memberships by May 1st, your handicap can take up to 4 weeks to reactivate in the computer.

Player Responsibility

Players must post all their scores, especially in tournament play.  Players who do not post their score, or who do not post the correct score, will be subject to penalty scores by the handicap committee.
